Johan is a new Japanese Bakery Shop to have opened in Isetan Jurong East,at the last December, 2013.
The name Johan was taken from a French baker named Roland Johan. Roland Johan was born around the town of Le Mans, France, and at 13, he started his training as a baker. In 1942, he opened the first Johan store in Montparnasse, in Paris. In 1971, he opened another store in the Parisian suburb of Dame Blanche.
Bakeries were looking for ways to increase their work efficiency and abandoned the traditional baking methods, producing a lot of poor-quality bread. In the midst of all this, Johan's tried and true bread baking methods, which "preserved the tradition of real French bread," and his spirit towards the craft made a great impression on Donq who he then teamed up with.
In 1983, the first Johan bakery was opened in Japan at the Ginza Mitsukoshi store, carrying on the French traditions of Mr. Johan and using the highest quality ingredients.

We are currently looking for dedicated and highly motivated personnel to join our team in the Johan bakery in Singapore!
It is one of the Famous Bakery Shop in Japan and has around 185 Branches in Japan alone, 14 Shops in Taiwan, 3 Shops in Hong Kong and 4 outlets in Shanghai China. Due to business expansion at Singapore, we are currently looking for dedicated and highly motivated personnel to join our Team.
We welcome you to join and be part of our family as the following positions:-
①Full-Time Bakery Chef
OT, 5～6days work /wk ,(6days off/month) additional day off for every public holiday.
Experience is not required.
8hrs work/day + 1hr break.
Work start at 7am.
*Experiences would be advantage
*No experience is required as training will be provided

Benefits: 14days Medical Leave with $30/MC(but only given for 10days MC's), 8days annual paid leave, annual bonus(based on performance).
(Benefits will be given after the 3 months probation),Staff discount will be given.
Responsibilities for Bakery Chef
- To assist in daily production of pastries and bakeries.
- Responsible for the high standard preparations of pastry.
- Clean & maintain baker equipment & tools.
- Complete daily duties as stipulated in job agreement.
②Full-Time Bakery Sales Staff
OT, 5～6days work /wk ,(6days off/month) additional day off for every public holiday.
Working hrs (8am-5pm / 1pm-22pm)
8hrs/day + 1hr break

training will be provided
